Refrigerant Sub-Cooling Circuit
A sub-cooling circuit is an additional heat exchange stage that cools the liquid refrigerant further before it reaches the expansion valve, increasing system capacity. This technical edge allows our Multi-Zone outdoor units to provide superior cooling even when the mercury rises above 100°F. In a large Penta-Zone setup, sub-cooling ensures that the last indoor unit on the line receives a full charge of liquid refrigerant. To maintain this efficiency, it is crucial to protect the outdoor coil from dirt using a Ground Stand to elevate the unit above splashing mud. Our Bravo Milano 18,000 BTU Universal Floor/Ceiling units benefit significantly from this technology, especially during peak summer loads. Without sub-cooling, systems often struggle and consume more electricity to achieve the same temperature drop. It is a premium feature built into every high-capacity Bravo Milano condenser.
