A lift pump is a small mechanical device inside the indoor unit that pushes water vertically, allowing for drainage even when the unit is in a basement. This is a standard feature in our Ceiling Cassette Multi-Zone models to prevent leaks in ceiling tiles. For our floor-mounted Bravo Milano 12,000 BTU, these pumps are often optional Accessories for specific floorplans. In a Dual-Zone system, these pumps allow you to run drain lines through the attic rather than through the walls. We recommend checking the pump filter during regular maintenance to ensure the UFC Multi-Zone remains dry. Mounting the outdoor unit on a Ground Stand ensures the final exit point of the drain is clear and unobstructed. This pump technology is what makes our units so versatile for complex architectural layouts.
