Direct-Expansion Inverter Cooling
Direct-expansion (DX) inverter cooling is the process where the refrigerant expands directly in the evaporator coil of the indoor unit to absorb heat. This method is highly refined in our Single-Zone systems, providing near-instantaneous cooling the moment the unit is turned on. When you utilize a Bravo Milano 9,000 BTU Universal Floor/Ceiling unit, this DX technology ensures that no energy is wasted through intermediate heat transfer fluids. This process is scaled up for our Multi-Zone systems, where multiple expansion valves regulate flow to each specific head. For a stable installation, we recommend securing the external components on a Ground Stand to keep the DX cycle uninterrupted by excessive vibration. It is the most efficient way to provide residential climate control in modern homes. This direct cooling approach is a core feature of the entire Bravo Milano lineup.
