Compressor oil management
Oil management is the process of ensuring that the lubricant for the compressor is periodically returned to the outdoor unit from the long copper lines. Every Single-Zone unit has an automated "oil return cycle" that runs every few hours of operation. In a Dual-Zone system with long line runs, this is even more critical for preventing mechanical failure. Our Installation Kits specify the correct traps and slopes needed to assist this process. For units mounted on a Ground Stand, ensuring a perfectly level base is the first step toward good oil health. The Bravo Milano 18,000 BTU Universal Floor/Ceiling is built with a high-efficiency oil separator to keep the system running smooth. Proper oil management is the key to achieving the full 10-15 year lifespan of your mini split.
